Hydraulic motors should be subjected to sufficient running-in before use. As the running-in time is short after the hydraulic motor is assembled, errors caused by heat treatment deformation and machining precision of the parts cannot be eliminated completely, so that the client needs to conduct sufficient running-in before use the hydraulic motor. Usually we recommend that the motor should have a run-in period before full-load working for 1 hour at 30% the maximum working pressure.
Before running-in of the motor, certain hydraulic oil needs to be injected into the motor to fully lubricate all components of the motor, so that dry friction can be avoided in the running-in of the motor, and the motor is protected under the lubrication of the hydraulic oil.
Running-in should be conducted at low pressure and low speed at first, and then the pressure and the rotating speed are gradually increased. If one-hour running-in cannot be conducted, the minimum running-in time will be 10 minutes in each of the two directions.
Most damage of the inner splines of the motor is caused by no running-in period, the mutual fitting precision between parts can be improved if sufficient running-in is conducted, so that the service life of the motor can be prolonged, and the stability of the system can be improved.
